• Medical Coding Specialist
responsible for ICD-9 & CPT coding for various specialty professional claims utilizing several charge capture settings (electronic, paper, web-based).
• Charge Entry Specialist
registers patient demographics into the billing system and transfers data from paper medical charges to the automated billing system.
• Payment Application Specialist
applies insurance and patient payments to patient accounts and is also responsible for working denied claims.
• Accounts Receivable Representative
follows up with various insurances on unpaid claims.
• Customer Service Representative
handles correspondence (via mail and telephone) from patients and insurances in regards to questions on statements.
• Medical Claims Processor
works claim edits prior to submitting claims to the insurance companies and will process the secondary claim procedure.
• Customer Service Manager
will be responsible for managing the customer service staff and will monitor all incoming correspondence.
• Accounts Receivable Manager
follows up with various insurances on unpaid claims.
