The partners considered early retirement and staying on as managers with GE Healthcare, which absorbed IDX, but ultimately took another route — starting a new venture to take even more of the subjectivity, problems, and cost out of medical billing and other processes....Read More

Convergent Solutions Inc. Launches Affordable EMR
May 5, 2008 - It’s no secret: EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) improve healthcare delivery and make it more cost effective. Yet, according to the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative, with implementation costs running at $40,000-$45,000 per physician, the medical industry has been slow to convert from paper medical records, until now.

Convergent Solutions Inc. (CSI) has launched a new EMR system that features very low implementation and maintenance costs, ongoing technical support and with all data stored in a redundant, safe environment. CSI’s EMR solution features accessible data for Pay for Performance initiatives, health maintenance requirements and clinical reporting. There is no charge for training, no licensing fees and average implementation period can be as low as 3 months or the client can phase the EMR in over time. The CSI EMR solution can be linked to labs and hospitals and is also easily integrated with existing medical billing and practice management systems.
